I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Somatic Experience Practitioner with extensive experience working with people recovering from addiction, mental health struggles, and trauma. My professional and personal experiences have made one thing clear: Nobody is destined for a life of endless suffering. I believe that we all can heal, provided we have the courage to ask for help and the opportunity to work with innovative, compassionate, and competent folk. I believe nobody should walk alone on their healing journey. I am ready to support your pursuit of wellness and healthy living.

I bridge the gap between medical care and personal understanding. With over 27 years of experience as a nurse practitioner, I specialize in providing deep insights into chronic medical and mental health issues that often go unaddressed in typical medical settings. My expertise encompasses cellular and metabolic health, hormonal health, gut and neurocognitive health, sexual and musculoskeletal health, and mental well-being. I offer personalized consultations to help you comprehend your health challenges, interpret your lab or imaging results, and explain your provider(s) management plan. Together, we'll set attainable goals for achieving optimal health and fitness while equipping you with questions to enhance your conversations with healthcare providers. Additionally, I conduct psychoeducational group sessions tailored for individuals dealing with mental health and addiction issues, focusing on holistic strategies to boost overall well-being. Discovery a path to optimal health with guidance that's compassionate as it is informed.
TRAUMA
When trauma comes, it comes to threaten, injure, and violate. It leaves us overwhelmed and unable to cope. At Folx therapy, we believe that healing is possible. Our therapists are trained to use Somatic Experiencing, a body-orientated therapeutic model that helps people respond to trauma with their internal and external resources. We have experience working with Veterans, First Responders, and Survivors of Trauma. All Ages Welcome!

Affirming therapy is the approach we use to help validate and advocate for the social, emotional, and mental health needs of people who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, or gender/sexual non-conforming. RECOVERY
At Folx Therapy, we believe that people can recover and/or manage their conditions successfully. Substance and alcohol abuse disorders, eating disorders, and/or other behavioral addictions can be treated. Since recovery is a highly individualized process, our therapists will collaborate with you to develop a treatment plan specific to your unique needs, wants, and goals in recovery.
